Memorial Day 3K Run/Walk

Rev. John Ohmer will be running in the City of Falls Church Memorial Day Festival 3K Fun Run.  

John Ohmer Challenge:  

Anyone in Rev. John's age group (50-55) who runs the 3K and beats his time, will be treated to their beverage of choice at the Four Provinces Pub and Restaurant.

Join the TFCE Team:

Melissa Dalio is forming a TFCE team to run/walk with Rev. John.  Look for the sign up sheet on the table outside the Fellowship Hall.  

The Memorial Day Fun Run/Walk is open to families with children, and we hope to have a good number of our members out having fun and getting fit with our neighbors.  We encourage all team members to wear a "Come Grow With Us" TFCE t-shirt.

Historic Grave Marking Ceremony

Members of the George Washington and Fairfax Resolves Chapters of The Sons of the American Revolution are holding a grave-marking ceremony at TFCE's Historic Church for Revolutionary War Patriot, Major Simon Sommers, one of the officers who signed the historic Valley Forge Oath of Allegiance in May 1778.

Period Dress and Historic Tours

Sons of the American Revolution will be dressed in period attire, and historic walking tours of The Falls Church historic church and grounds will be available after the grave-marking ceremony.

Jessie Thackrey's 100th Birthday

Sunday, June 16

Help us celebrate 100 years in the life of a pillar of Falls Church and The Falls Church Episcopal, Jessie Thackrey. The 10:00 a.m. service in the Historic Church will be dedicated to her honor.  Following the worship service, the celebration will continue with a pot-luck dinner on the church grounds.  Special guests will join us for this historic celebration with Jessie Thackrey.  The entire Falls Church community is invited.
