Outreach
Welcome Table
Hosted by The Falls Church Presbyterian Church, TFCE supports this ministry by helping to provide a home-cooked meal and a time of fellowship for the homeless. This dinner is held the third Wednesday of each month from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the FCPC Fellowship Hall.
TFCE youth collect toiletries year-round, which are donated to the Free Market Toiletry Table as part of this ministry. Toiletry basics such as toothpaste, toilet paper and soap in non-travel size packaging are greatly appreciated.
Drop off your toiletry donation any time in the Welcome Table basket in the Upper Narthex.
Rebuilding Together
One Saturday each spring, the parish works with Rebuilding Together to renovate the home of a needy family in our area. No special home-improvement skills are needed.
All hands are welcome.
If you can scrape, paint, hang windows, clean-up, make sandwiches or bring coffee, you're welcome and your help is appreciated.
This year's event was held on Saturday, April 27.
Join us next year for the spring 2014 event.
Contact Kees Dutilh or Mike Snyder with questions.
We hope you'll join us! This is a great family activity.
Annual Walk for the Homeless
1 mile walk in church vacinity
Each year, the Outreach Committee, in collaboration with The Falls Church Presbyterian Church,
annually organizes a short fundraising walk to support Shelter House, Inc.
Many are unaware that although we live and work in one of the wealthiest counties in the nation, there are more than 1,500 homeless men, women, and children in Fairfax County. In support and recognition of the homeless among us, we annually hold this short-walk fundraiser for Shelter House, Inc.
The 2012 walk was held on September 23, 2012.
Join us next fall for the 2013 walk.
